OFFERTA GRANDI SCORTE ​​​​​​​26 GLUTAMMINA + 4 OMAGGIO ​​​​​​​La glutamina è un aminoacido neutro ed è l'aminoacido più abbondante presente nel muscolo e il sangue umano. Infatti, il 60% della riserva libera di aminoacidi nelle cellule muscolo scheletriche è composto di glutamina. La glutamina è nota come un aminoacido condizionatamente essenziale perchè nei momenti di stress (l'attività fisica è stress) il corpo ne ha un bisogno maggiore per mantenere le riserve ematiche e muscolari di glutamina. La glutammina è un aminoacido non essenziale che costituisce più del 50% del pool aminoacidico. Già nel 1990 Perry-Billings et altri, e nel 1991, Calder e Newsholme, hanno provato che la glutamina aiuta in modo importante il sistema immunitario. L'allenamento strenuo sportivo è un comunque un attacco al nostro sistema difensivo, che dovrà provvedere a ripulire e riparare il terreno cellulare danneggiato anche dallo stress e/o dalla vita privata. Ora, gli immunociti deputati a questo compito richiedono un alta quantità di glutamina nel plasma, per essere coadiuvati a questo compito. Conseguentemente se i livelli di questo aminoacido sono nel sangue sono normalmente bassi (perché la maggior parte è utilizzata dalle cellule dell'intestino tenue), la glutamina disponibile non basta e quindi dovrà venire estratta dal nostro patrimonio muscolare. Questo perchè esiste la sindrome da intestino eccessivamente permeabile o "leaky gut" (SAPI o LGS) che si accompagna ad uno stato infiammatorio sistemico, iper-reattività del sistema immunitario, sovraccarico del fegato e del sistema nervoso. I sintomi più frequenti sono quelli intestinali come gonfiore, diarrea e crampi, ma spesso compaiono anche sintomi generali come stanchezza, mancanza di energia, allergie ed intolleranze. La glutammina ripristina quindi la corretta non-permeablità intestinale, dovuta a cereali, latticini, legumi e stress.  La glutamina contenuta nei muscoli  è soltanto il 5-7% delle proteine totali e quindi il nostro organismo la produce a partire da altri aminoacidi, depauperando lentamente e inesorabilmente, la massa magra che avevamo così faticosamente acquisito. Questa "deleteria“ utilizzazione della glutamina dipende soprattutto dall'aumento dei livelli di cortisolo, un glucocorticoide che viene rilasciato in tutti i casi di stress sia patologico, sia indotto dall'esercizio fisico. Se il cortisolo è alto, l'estrazione e la produzione di glutamina (ma anche di un altro aminoacido glucogenetico, l'alalina) viene enormemente aumentata,rallentando o addirittura impedendo la crescita muscolare. La somministrazione orale o parenterale di glutamina può quindi migliorare il bilancio dell'azoto, aiutando l'atleta ad incrementare la massa magra ( e nel sedentario mantiene la massa magra impedendo l' indebolimento e l' invecchiamento), in quanto l'organismo utilizza l'integrazione dell'aminoacido invece di smontare le nostre proteine muscolari. L'acido glutaminico, prodotto nel cervello dalla glutamina (è l'unico aminoacido che riesce a passare la barriera ematoencefalica), svolge altra due funzioni fondamentali: • insieme al glucosio, è il carburante delle cellule celebrali; • combinandosi con l'ammoniaca (provoca il senso di fatica durante l'esercizio fisico), disintossica il cervello riconvertendosi nella forma primaria di glutamina. Anche l'ammoniaca nel fegato viene smaltita da questo importante aminoacido. • Anche il cervello quindi beneficia degli effetti della glutamina, in quanto la quantità di glucosio che può immagazzinare è limitata e se i livelli dell'aminoacido sono adeguati si può migliorare la funzionalità celebrale. Il glutammato monosodico dei comuni dadi da brodo e dei cibi cinesi, contiene acido glutaminico. • Altra funzione della glutamina è quella sul volume cellulare. Come abbiamo visto parlando della creatina, l'aumento della grandezza cellulare può essere il segnale per far partire gli stimoli anabolici ed anticatabolici. • La glutamina, in studi con animali, ha dimostrato di essere il più forte voluminizzatore cellulare tra quelli provati.  Se studi su umani confermeranno questa caratteristica, l'integrazione di questo aminoacido per l'aumento della massa muscolare è destinata a diventare di routine. Ulteriori azioni della glutamina sono: • sintesi del Glutatione (un importante anti-ossidante prodotto dal nostro corpo); • trasporto di azoto e atomi di carbonio; • sintesi di Urea (fegato); • sintesi dell'RNA; • sintesi di Glucosio/Glicogeno; • componente del pool aminoacidico, • carburante metabolico; • ridurrebbe il desiderio di alcool; • viene utilizzato sperimentalmente nel trattamento della • depressione, nelle ulcere peptiche, epilessia, schizofrenia e • senilità; • aumenterebbe i livelli dell'ormone della crescita  La combinazione glutamina + aminoacidi ramificati, sembrerebbe l'optimun per ottenere i migliori risultati. Infatti, come abbiamo visto, dopo una dura seduta di allenamento, l'organismo utilizza le poche scorte disponibili di glutamina e di alanina per ripristinare l'equilibrio precedente. Quindi comincia a smontare le proteine muscolari, ma soprattutto aminoacidi ramificati, che attraverso il ciclo alanina-glucosio, vengono trasformati in glucosio per sopperire all'esaurimento del glicogeno muscolare. Se si potenziano quindi i ramificati con la glutamina si ritarda notevolmente l'esaurimento delle riserve di glucogenetici, riducendo notevolmente il catabolismo muscolare e favorendo il Recupero. Addirittura molti atleti riferiscono di "sentire" la differenza tra i prodotti contenenti i soli ramificati e quelli associati alla glutammina.
